Based on the 1974 comedy movie by Brooks and Gene Wilder, Young Frankenstein is a parody of a horror movie genre with an in-your-face kind of humor. The plot is the same as that of the original Mel Brooks movie. However full orchestra and huge production numbers are the new additions and have worked greatly for the show. The musical began previewing on Broadway in October 2007 with Young Frankenstein Tickets sales going up followed by an opening just after a month at the Hilton Theatre.
